On October 28th, 2021, at the Center Cultural Hall of Cao Bang city, the Final Round of the “Ambassador of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark” contest for secondary and high school students in the geopark territory was organized.

In Vietnam, there geoparks were designated as gobal geoparks by UNESCO, namely: Dong Van karst plateau UGGp (2010), Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp (2018) and Dak Nong UGGp (2020).

On August 26th, 2021, Le Thu Trang, representative of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UGGp won the first prize of the contest "Finding youth representative to attend UNESCO Global Geoparks Youth Forum" organized by the Sub-committee for Vietnam UNESCO global geoparks, Viet Nam National Commission for UNESCO, and became the official representative of Vietnam to the 1st UNESCO Global Geoparks Youth Forum expected to be held in Jeju Island, Korea.

On August 20, 2021, the final round and awards ceremony of "Youth with UNESCO Global Geoparks Forum" Contest jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp Management Board and Cao Bang Provincial Youth Union (HCYU) took place at the Hall of Cao Bang Provincial HCYU.

Hoai Khao community-based village – towards sustainable development on the basis of UNESCO Global Geopark

On July 2nd, 2021, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang cooperated with the People’s Committee of Nguyen Binh District and the People’s Committee of Quang Thanh Commune to conduct a survey in Hoai Khao village, Quang Thanh commune, Nguyen Binh and proposed issues related to sustainable tourism development on the basis of UNESCO Global Geopark.

Meeting on preparation for “Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark Ambassador Contest”

In the morning of June 30th, 2021, the Organizing Committee of “Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark Ambassador Contest” for junior secondary and high school students in the geopark territory held a meeting on reviewing and finalizing tasks and documents related to the contest. Mr. Truong The Vinh - Deputy Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, Director of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp Management Board, Chairperson of the contest’s Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.

On June 23rd 2021, the Management Board of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp (Vietnam) in collaboration with Khorat Aspiring Geopark (Thailand) organized a digital meeting on possibilities to establish sistership relation and preparation for student workshop on geopark education activities.
