GEOPARK EDUCATION FOR COMMUNITIES IN PHUC HOA DISTRICT

On September 24^th 2019, the Management board of Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark, Department of Cultures, sports and tourism cooperated with People’s committee of Phuc Hoa district organized the training on Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark for communities and authority of Phuc Hoa district.

Phuc Hoa district is located in the Eastern route-Experience traditional culture in a wonderland. This district has lots of potentials for tourism development with a diverse system of rivers and streams (4 rivers: Bang Giang, Bac Vong, Vi Vong, and Sam Xuyen) creates marvelous landscapes with waterfalls, and caves, etc. The district is home to some provincially-ranked heritage such as the Tran Duy Tan general temper, Mac dynasty vestiage, Nguom Lom-Nam Khao cave, etc.

There were more than 80 participants at the training course who are leaders of communes, officers of district people’s committee, tourists’ service providers in the district, women unions, village head and youth union.

The training course aimed at providing participants with basic information of the development of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp, distinguished values in the geoaprk area; code of conducts in tourism, Tourism promotion program, and conservation of heritages in Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark.

In the afternoon, participants spent time discussing and presenting their idea on the conservation and promotion of these heritages.
