Field survey to carry out the installation scheme of the panel system for the fourth experience route in Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp

On June 1st, 2021, the Management Board of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UGGp in collaboration with the People's Committees of Thach An and Quang Hoa districts and the People's Committees of the relevant communes conducted a field survey to select the positions to install the panel system of the 4th experience route in Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp.

From April 7th to April 9th, 2021, the Management board of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp cooperated with the People’s committee of the districts in Non Nuoc Cao Bang territory to conduct a field survey trip on inspecting and evaluating heritage sites to prepare for the revalidation mission in 2021.

On March 19th, the Management of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp cooperated with Cao Bang Department of Education and Training to organize a training workshop on replication of “Geopark ambassador club” for 120 teachers of 60 schools in Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp territory in the following districts: Ha Quang, Nguyen Binh, Thach An, Hoa An and Cao Bang city.

CONFERENCE ON LAUNCHING TASKS ON TOURISM SECTOR AND NON NUOC CAO BANG UGGP IN 2021

On March 30th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a conference on summing up the tourism sector and Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp in 2020, launching tasks for 2021 and signing the Memorandum of Commitment on Establishment of Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark’s partnership.

WORKSHOP ON GEOPARK EDUCATION AND LAUNCHING THE REPLICATION OF “GEOPARK AMBASSADOR CLUB” FOR 98 TEACHERS

On March 17th, 2021, the Management board of Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp in collaboration with Cao Bang department of Education and Training organized a training workshop on geopark education and launching the replication of the “Geopark ambassador club” model to schools in Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark territory for 98 teachers in Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh, Ha Lang districts.

THOONG TAC – A STUNNING PRISTINE WATERFALL

Thoong Tac (Broken waterfall in the Tay language) in Doai Duong commune (Trung Khanh district) is a unique picture of majestic natural landscape which is almost pristine in the midst of mountain ranges. This site, where visitors can admire the untouched natural landscape and experience the daily life of the locals, is ideal for sustainable tourism development.

Due to the influence of the intensive cold spell, in the early morning on January 8th, 2021, the temperature in Cao Bang dropped deeply; particularly, the Phja Oac mountain area experienced frost, creating a spectacular landscape attracting a great number of visitors.

Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark, which has unique geological heritages of international significance, was designated by UNESCO as a UNESCO global geopark in April 2018. In addition to geological values, Non nuoc Cao Bang UGGp is a land of rich and diverse traditional culture. The cultural values were created from the daily activities and customs and habits of the indigenous ethnic minority groups living in Cao Bang such as Tay, Nung, Dao, Lo Lo, San Chi, etc.
